I've done a enough of these multi day stage races now to know that Day 3 hurts. You go hard the first 2 days and your body gets mad at you and then you try and go hard on day 3 and your body doesn't want you to. Thankfully this years day 3 took us into a super long descent after a quick dry heaving climb at 7500 feet in the alpine.

Despite a great start to his finals run here in Fort William yesterday, Aaron Gwin had an uncharacteristic over the handlebar crash in a section of the track that took out his team mate, Angel Suarez, nearly an hour earlier.
