God Save The Queen. Enduro World Series heads to the motherland.

Taking in three hills, eight stages and two days, this weekend's Santa Cruz TweedLove World Enduro presented by Sweet Protection is set to be a classic.

With no uplift and no outside assistance allowed over two days of racing, riders will need to be self-sufficient throughout two long days, as they cover 87km in distance and 2900m of vertical gain.

The first-ever UK stop for the Enduro World Series, the Santa Cruz TweedLove World Enduro presented by Sweet Protection met huge demand, selling out within an hour to riders keen to test their skills alongside British mountain bike legends, Steve Peat (Santa Cruz), Dan Atherton (GT Factory Racing), and Tracy Moseley (Trek Factory Racing Enduro Team), as well as the top 10 racers from the first round of the Enduro World Series in both the men's and women's categories. (The sole exception will be the absence of Round 1 winner and 2013 EWS World Champion Jérôme Clementz, who suffered a season-ending shoulder injury racing in the French Enduro Cup earlier this month.)

Organiser of TweedLove, the five year old bike festival that plays host to the Enduro World Series event, Neil Dagleish is excited to see how the top riders shred the local trails. "We have a lot of fantastic trails and there are some seriously steep, tight and tech challenges in the woods. Even the world's best riders will have to think about the best way to deal with some of those trails."

After travelling the world for the past 18 months for the Enduro World Series, riding the events and scouting potential host locations, Managing Director Chris Ball is excited to welcome the enduro racing community to his own backyard. "After a fantastic start to the year south of the equator, I'm personally excited to welcome everyone to the Scottish Borders to experience my local trails. The whole riding community here is buzzing in anticipation."
