Kriss Kyle Riding Mont-Saint-Michel

Riding Mont-Saint-Michel? No, this isn't some mountain you'll find on a trail map – it's one of France's most iconic historical landmarks, in a country that's hardly short on breathtaking architecture.

Kriss Kyle, BMX and mountain bike all-rounder and always up for an unconventional project, got the chance to take his bike to the tide-swept abbey island in Normandy.

Even for Kriss, this spot was something special, as he puts it:

"It never ceases to amaze me. I've been riding skateparks a hundred feet up in the air, jumped out of helicopters and now that one – it's such a special place, and it's just incredible that my bike will take me there."

Mont-Saint-Michel has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979 and draws 2-3 million visitors a year, ranking among Europe's top attractions – right up there with French landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
