Lois always wants bike park and jumps, Leni wants enduro trails, Karen wants a high alpine experience, and Holger...? Holger just wants to go surfing. Some very wise friends advised them that there was no place better than Valais, so off they went. And they were not disappointed.

In this Episode of “Chasing Trail,” Holger and family get to experience a big slice of the good life here in Switzerland, exploring the very finest trails, food, transport and accommodation that both Lötschental and Verbier have to offer.

The family started out on the enduro trails of Lötschental. This region is not yet well-established to bikers but has a lot to offer in terms of natural trails. The Swiss Enduro Series took place here for the first time in 2020. Local bike guide, Thomas, showed the crew exactly where to find the greatest gems in the area.

The journey then continued on to the world-famous ski paradise of Verbier.

Here they stepped onto the wild side! Beside the bike park there are natural trails of a very special kind. In Le Châble, you can hop on the PostBus and make your way to Bruson. Once there you pedal your way out, which then rewards you with plenty of downhill options.

Of course, the crew could not leave without hitting the Bike Park of Verbier. Blended with an overnighter at Cabane du Mont-Fort, this makes for a very special alpine experience.

Once the legs were sore and the smiles were wide, it was time to swap bikes for boards. Yes, you read that right. Alaïa Bay in Sion is home to an incredible wave pool, giving you world class waves right in the heart of the Alps. It doesn't get much better than that.
