Pearl Izumi Bib Short.

Unlike any bib short I have worn, the Pearl Izumi Bib Short Liner is a no-nonsense easy rider. Coming from an MTB background, I scoffed at bibs but slowly warmed to their comfort as a sometimes road rider. Its true, nothing beats a bib for fit and comfort for long hours in the saddle.

Hidden under your favorite baggies, this liner does not feel bulky whatsoever. Some standout features of this liner include a form fitting poly/spandex blend spun thinly and they are highly breathable while at the same time adding additional warmth in the shoulder seasons. The bib straps virtually disappear under any enduro jersey and to my surprise feature a total of seven conveniently located micro pouches for gear/food which solves the need to wear a road jersey under your enduro shirt (something I had always felt silly doing).

I personally don't love wearing a pack so on my last ride I carried a banana, Clif shot, tube and cell phone and hardly knew they were there.

The Elite Pursuit 1:1 chamois appears no nonsense. It is somewhat flat and featureless and at first, I wondered about its breathability. However, its layered foam and contours provide very good breathability overall and I was impressed by its moisture transfer and odor resistance. The leg bottoms are "gripper-less" but they stayed in place like a champ during my ride and most importantly, did not bunch up.

Now a bib convert, I believe I will wear out this pair.
