THE One Izyk helmet

2211

Over the years THE has made several different helmets and their newest offering is the ONE Series. Offered in two different versions: Carbon & composite soft touch with a couple colour / graphic choices.

Weighing in at 1150g (size large) and featuring 15 air vents this is a serious contender in the lightweight full-face category. I have been using this helmet since the bike park opened and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. The composite soft touch outer provides excellent grip for goggle straps ensuring it doesn’t slide around on your head. The air vents provide good airflow keeping my head cool and the custom washable liner is a nice touch. (Granted it hasn’t gone into full Whistler dusty summer mode yet.)

Fit and finish on the helmet is second to none, featuring custom THE rivets, chrome logo on the top of the visor and a helmet bag. Things you don’t usually see on helmets under $300.

Custom Liner.

The only thing that I disliked at this point is that the grey coloured one marks up very easily. I had a muddy day in the park and I haven’t been able to get it all off yet.
