Vaea Verbeeck's Red Bull Rampage Scott Gambler. (it's fancy lookin')
This year, Canadian freeride rider Vaea Verbeeck returns to Rampage, armed with a custom SCOTT Gambler and unfinished business
SCOTT Freeride MTB athlete Vaea Verbeeck is heading back to Rampage 2025 with a mission. The Canadian powerhouse returns to the desert cliffs of Virgin, Utah, which she first tackled in 2019 as part of the Red Bull Formation. This time, she's determined to finish what she started last year, and to do it aboard a one-of-a-kind custom SCOTT Gambler, built specifically for this moment.
In 2024, Verbeeck’s Rampage was a defining moment in women’s freeride history. Not only did she shape the very first edition of the women’s Rampage, but she also rode it herself, claiming a solid P4 showing precision, style, and raw power that helped shape the sport’s next chapter. Her position earned her an automatic invite for 2025, but this year, the stakes are higher, the lines steeper, and the ambitions greater. Check out how she’s gearing up for Rampage on her Instagram.
To tackle her line, she has been provided with a very special edition of the all-new SCOTT Gambler. Dive into the details below and hear from Vaea what it means for her to be back at this historic venue.
"I expect that we will have a pretty epic second edition of Rampage this year. I expect overcoming fear barriers and making room for a ton of fun and high fives! I can't wait to see everyone putting it together", Vaea explains.
Having fractured her elbow at Red Bull Hardline Wales earlier this year, Vaea immediately started her recovery process to make it until the start of Red Bull Rampage 2025.
Frame: SCOTT GAMBLER 10 - HMX/ALUMINIUM"I am quite pleased with how the body is feeling on and off the bike. Putting the previous injury behind me and only focusing on riding at my best. I was aware of the limited amount of time I had to get ready, and while more practice would have certainly helped, I feel capable of delivering something solid and exciting. I'm just grateful to be competing and to put together something fun for me and my team. By fun, I mean something very scary and intimidating... but once I build the flow of it, it shall be quite a fun ride", she concludes.
