All five riders from Trek World Racing were testing and training in Southern Spain this past week on the eve of their trip down to South Africa for World Cup Round 1.

A major feature of this year’s team camp was the launch of the brand new 2.3km Trek World Racing Test Track in Motril, in the Granada Province of Spain. Designed by Team Manager Martin Whiteley in December of last year, and built of the last 3 months, the track is a proper test for the riders and bikes, and has been built in co-operation with the City of Motril.

New comer to the team, Junior Laurie Greenland settled in seamlessly and was immediately at home with his new team mates who were all returning from 2013. With Brook MacDonald 100% fit after his 2013 shoulder surgery, and all the other riders in peak form, including newly crowned NZ Champion George Brannigan, the stage is set for a strong showing in Pietermaritzburg.
