Now that you’re part of the SCOTT DH Factory Team, what are three things you’re most looking forward to with your new squad?
More than anything, I'm excited for a fresh start. The team has been around for a long time and has had a lot of success with different faces. I'm excited for fresh perspectives, my own balance of expectations in a new environment, and a new challenge on the SCOTT Gambler.
How do you like the Gambler so far? What were your first impressions, and is there a standout feature you particularly enjoy?
I haven't been able to spend too much time on the bike yet, so I'm excited to get to know the platform. Mostly, being back on a six-bar will be really exciting. I really love the testing process, so getting to know the bike will be awesome. The first impression was really impressive. I just really enjoy the process of working on the bike. It gives me a lot of confidence that I can do well based on the work done.
After spending more time on the Gambler, what are your thoughts heading into next season’s races?
I still have to figure this one out, but I have a new love for being at the races and the magic of downhill after being sidelined most of last year. It made me realize I really do love riding my bike. I'm excited to have a new perspective this season.
How are you spending your off-season this year? What’s the plan and what are your goals?
After spending all last off-season unable to walk, I have a lot to catch up on. It's been pretty wide open since I’ve been home, getting everything back up and running. With winter here, my focus is shifting to more time rehabbing my hip and trying to get my fitness and strength back.
What are your goals for next season, and how will you approach achieving them?
Just take it step by step. I've never received a lot of success from trying to shove the square peg in the round hole. I'm going to try to get my sense of calm back from the rush of rehabbing my injury and just do my best every day to be the best me I can be. Wherever that puts me, I'm going to be happy with it. Just honest work and a lot of enjoyment in the process of finding the best version of myself.
Jess Blewitt
Recognized across the downhill world as one of the most promising rising stars, Jess Blewitt has continually demonstrated grit and determination, bouncing back from setbacks and claiming top results. Her tenacity, technical skill, and passion for downhill racing make her an excellent match for SCOTT Sports. With Jess on our team, we are confident we gain a rider who not only pushes the limits on the track but also inspires with her resilience and love for the sport.

ow do you like the Gambler so far? What were your first impressions, and is there a standout feature you particularly enjoy?
I’m absolutely loving it. I couldn’t wipe the smile of fmy face during those first laps, which probably says it all. The Gambler feels incredibly nimble and playful, and that stood out to me right away.
After spending more time on the Gambler, what are your thoughts heading into next season’s races?
Honestly, I’m so excited. There is so much potential in this bike, andI feel like we are only just getting started. I can’t wait to keep dialing it in and be fully ready when the season begins.
How are you spending your off-season this year? What’s the plan and what are your goals?
I will be splitting my off-season between France and New Zealand, attending team camps, enjoying some winter activities, and then heading back to New Zealand for National Champs. The main goal is to come into 2025 stronger and faster, and fully confident on the new bike.
What are your goals for next season, and how will you approach achieving them?
My goals remain the same: aiming for podiums, building consistency, and delivering runs that I am genuinely proud of while making sure I am still having fun.
