SCOTT and Schurter in the spotlight again at the Internazionali d’Italia Series

The Swiss company will be a supporter of Italy’s most important cross-country series for the third straight season. World Champion Nino Schurter and the SCOTT-SRAM MTB Racing Team will take part in the Capoliveri Legend XCO on Easter weekend.

SCOTT and the Internazionali d’Italia Series plan to continue their successful partnership after two mutually beneficial seasons. With two weeks left until the season opener of Italy’s most important cross-country series, scheduled for Saturday, March 19th, in San Zeno di Montagna (Verona), SCOTT and the Internazionali d’Italia Series celebrate their third year of collaboration with the most eagerly awaited news: after a two-year absence, World Champion Nino Schurter will return to compete in the Internazionali d’Italia Series.

The 10-time cross-country world champion confirmed his presence at the Capoliveri Legend XCO to be held on Elba Island on Saturday, April 8th during Easter weekend. Two years ago, in 2021, the Swiss superstar gave mountain bike fans a terrific show in the first edition of the Capoliveri Legend XCO, which was marked by a strong head-to-head battle with Brazilian racer, Henrique Avancini.

The island’s technical terrain and natural beauty will set the stage for Easter on Elba Island; the race will get another thrilling development: Schurter will race at the Capoliveri Legend XCO together with teammate, Andri Frischknecht.

"I love racing in Italy; the race on Elba is a particularly special one with a great racecourse and stunning views. After racing the Cape Epic, it’s going to be my first cross-country race in Europe," said the SCOTT-SRAM MTB Racing Team rider.

SCOTT will be present at the Internazionali d’Itali Series with the best products in its mountain bike range, including the Scott Spark, and Syncros, SCOTT’s brand of wheels and cycling components. In addition, the Italian SCOTT Racing XCO team will take part in all rounds of the Internazionali d’Italia Series.

The Internazionali d’Italia Series kicks off with round 1, Pineta Sperane XCO, on Saturday, March 18th, with the junior men’s race at 10:00 CET, followed by the women’s races at 11:45 CET and the men’s open race at 14:00. The masters and youth competitions (Rookies and Cadets) are scheduled for Sunday, March 19th.
