The Belgian athletes are two of the favourites of the Elite and U23 races with Extreme Tech MTB Plus shoes

2014/2015 cyclocross season draws to a close, and Northwave's athletes are prepare to face World Championships' weekend that to be held in Tabor (Czech Republic), Saturday January 31st (Juniores and Women Elite races) and Sunday February 1st (Men Elite and U23 races).

VANTORNOUT LOOK GLORY IN THE ELITE CATEGORY

The Elite race will be the main event of Worlds' programme and Northwave will be at the start with 9 athletes led by the Belgian National Champion Klaas Vantornout, the teammates Gianni Vermeersch and Rob Peeters, and the Italian National Champion Marco Aurelio Fontana. Another Belgian athlete, Tim Merlier, Bryan Falaschi (Italy), Fabien Canal (France), Simon Zahler (Switzerland) and Stephan Hyde (USA) round out the selection of riders with Extreme Tech MTB Plus shoes.

Three more athletes sponsored by Italian brand will take part at the Juniores race, on Saturday January 31st, Italian Stefano Sala, Jakob Dorigoni and Antonio Folcarelli, whilst Russian Pavla Havlikova will participate at the Women Elite race.

In Hoogerheide (Holland) he conquered the Cyclocross World Cup, in Czech Republic will try to win the rainbow jersey: Sunweb-Napoleon Games' youngster Michael Vanthourenhout is one of the favourites for the U23 race, whilst two more Northwave's athletes, Italian Gioele Bertolini and teammate Nadir Colledani round out the line-up for Sunday morning race.
