5 Special Stages and 4 uplifts in the hearth of the Dolomites, with the last PS, known as the 'Show', that finishes in town, straight in the middle of the paddock area. Free practice will open on Sunday 19th, while the definitive race tracks will be confirmed by Saturday 25th.

The third round of the 2016 season - Canazei Superenduro Powered by SRAM - will be an exciting race and it will be decided almost entirely in the downhill sections, along Special Stages that wind through woods and meadows at high altitude. Most of the climbing will be done by ski lifts, four of them will be available, and this will save the energy needed to pin the five Special Stages once the button on the stopwatch has been pressed.

Despite this, among the few liaison sections not covered by lifts, super panoramic with views of the Dolomites and of the massifs Marmolada, Sassolungo and Pordoi, there will be some portage as well (a short section of the link to the PS1 start), and, above all, a section on asphalt towards Pordoi Pass, the infamous location of amazing road-bike battles during Giro d'Italia.

Many people are maybe wondering if the race course will be the same as at the 2015 National MTB Championships...it will not! The Special Stages of this race, the second Italian race valid as an Enduro World Series Qualifier Event (the first has been that of Massa Marittima) are pretty much all new or totally re-edited thanks to a number of inspections and long hours of work on trails by the Fassa Bike and Superenduro staff.

At Canazei there will be something for everyone, rough sections in the woods strew with roots, fast and flowing sections, tight switchbacks and even a Special Stage just cut in an open field, something done in the 'French way'.
At Canazei at least three times the riders will drop into the PS from an elevation above 2200 meters; almost 2400 for PS3, the Freeride Pordoi. The longest Stage will be the fourth, Infinity VOL2, 5.1km long and with an elevation drop of 719m. The shortest Stage will be the fifth, the Show, a downtown track that will host the final sprint directly in the middle of the paddock area in town.

The Canazei round is a very important race for many participants. It will be the halfway point of the 2016 season of the Superenduro Series and it could mean game-over for someone or completely reopen the games, both in the male and female category, for someone else. In addition, it is going to be one of the two EWS Qualifier Events in Italy; it is valid as the final round of the Triveneto Enduro Series and at the same time it is going to assign the title of Enduro Province Champion.
Many riders at Canazei will be raring to push hard.

On Sunday, all riders are invited to practise the PSs to familiarize with the terrain, so different from what they found in Varazze. However, it must be kept in mind that PS1 is not open yet as at the moment there are forestry operations in that area and that PS3, as we mentioned above, will not be ready any earlier than Thursday 23rd.

Find out at this link all Race Info, GPX TRACKS and ONBOARD footages of the Stages. We would like to remind that REGISTRATION is still open and it will close on Thursday 5th June.
Starting from Friday 24th the Event Village will go live. At the race registration office it will be possible to have the racing licenses checked and pick up the uplift pass - a single one for both racing days, Saturday and Sunday - at 15 euro.
See you in the Dolomites!
