The attitude of the CANYON Factory Freeride Team riders could not be more #mååh – which means nothing less than having fun with every pedal stroke along the way! After all, these young guns are out there for a good time and just do what they do best. Packed with new tricks, Thomas Genon, Anton Thelander and "newbie" Peter Henke are ready to rock'n'roll the 2014 FMB World Tour year.

The freeride scene can look forward to being hooked on the action from this year's FMB World Tour – Thomas, Anton and Peter will not disappoint! Thomas Genon and Anton Thelander have been riding for the German bike manufacturer since 2013 and from this year, Peter Henke will complete the trio. This provides a thrilling opportunity for the guys as they are also involved in the developing of the bikes: "When we started out, there was no dirt jump or slopestyle frame. The designers were really open to everything and we gave our input so that together we can create the best CANYON frame. Now, we have a killer setup, which means we can really go for it as a team and push the limits."

Dirt and slopestyle courses will be tackled with the agile "Stitched". This dirt bike was the freeriders' first project with CANYON. For the bigger, gnarlier stuff the trio will arm themselves with the "Torque DHX", already tried and tested by Thomas at Red Bull Rampage in 2013.

"We are really proud to set up the CANYON Factory Freeride Team with such well-known riders. The trigger was the integration of the new Factory Team Ranking into the FMB World Tour by the governing body, the FMBA", says team supervisor Flo Goral. The ranking is based on the athletes' top 6 results. "If last year is anything to go by, then we have high hopes for gold!"

2014 started off with a road trip through the south of France. The freeride trio, Thomas, Anton and Peter spent a week ripping and shredding their "Stitched" in the wild French countryside. The trip provided a lot of good times, as Peter sums up: "It was intense but we had so much fun together. Luckily we didn't have much snow back home so I could ride without a big break. But going to the south of France gave us extra motivation." Meanwhile, Anton Thelander has already put points on the board and secured the 3rd place at the kick-off event White Style. "2013 was quite good and I wanna continue like that – or even better. As a Swedish athlete I am used to snow, which makes White Style the perfect start."

From the smooth dirt jumps at Vienna Air King to the brutal terrain at Red Bull Rampage – the CANYON Factory Freeride Team is ready for a sweet season ahead.

You can now follow the guys' antics and performances on their brand new Facebook page. So stay tuned and check out just how much #mååh Thomas "La Frite" Genon, Anton "Cleanlander" and Peter #partyhenke are having.
