Bike Republic Sölden adds new trails, pumptrack.
For the 2026 season, Bike Republic Sölden is expanding its trail network with purpose, making it even more attractive for beginners and pros alike.
With the new Jump Line, the Drimmle Line as a smart connection between Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch, a new pump track at the Gaislachkogl mid-station, the extended Traien Trail, new Bike Hubs for “Bike & Hike”, and several upgrades across the existing trail network, Bike Republic Sölden heads into summer with tangible new highlights.
Bike Republic Sölden is not just expanding its trail network for 2026 – it is noticeably taking the riding experience to the next level. New lines, better connections, longer trail enjoyment and targeted improvements on existing routes make riding in Sölden even more flowy, varied and attractive. The focus is clearly on what really improves the experience for riders on the mountain: more options, better transitions and more fun from the first warm-up to the final descent.
Hupfar Line: The new jump line for maximum airtime
With the new Hupfar Line, Bike Republic Sölden is fulfilling a long-held wish of the community just in time for the season start on 4 June 2026. The name says it all: “Hupfar” means “jump” in Ötztal dialect – and that is exactly what this new jump line was built for. The first section is 1.55 kilometers long, rated red, and delivers what airtime-hungry riders are looking for with tables, rollers, drops, corners and berms: a wide, flowy line with clear dynamics and plenty of pop.
What makes the new line especially exciting is its versatility. Beginners can ease into their first jumps step by step, while intermediate and expert riders will find plenty to play with thanks to different line choices and take-offs on selected obstacles and jumps.
And that is only the beginning: a second section of around 200 meters is already planned. Construction is set to begin in May, with the opening scheduled for the Bike Republic Sölden Festival from 18 to 21 June 2026. For the design, two experienced riders from the Swatch Nines universe – Sam Hodgson and Veronique Sandler – are contributing their expertise.
Drimmle Line: A smart connection with real added value
Short in length, but hugely relevant for the riding experience in the Bike Republic, the new Drimmle Line (Ötztal dialect for “a little bit”) creates an easy (blue) link between the trails on Gaislachkogl and those on Giggijoch. In practical terms, this means riders will now be able to switch between both areas without having to head back down to the valley and onto the road.
This new connection does not just make the 2026 trail network bigger – it makes it smarter above all. The Drimmle Line improves the overall flow, reduces unnecessary detours and opens more flexible ways to link runs across the mountain.
Fine-tuning the existing network: upgrades for 2026
Alongside the major new additions, Bike Republic Sölden is also continuing to fine-tune its existing trail network for 2026.
- The existing Traien Trail is being extended further downhill, bringing it to a total length of 2.3 kilometers. The new section alone adds another 1.7 kilometers. The character and difficulty level remain true to the existing trail.
- The Ohn Line will receive both a reshape and a short new alignment, replacing the somewhat unfavorable section next to the road.
- The Troalen Line is also being further developed. After last year’s extension further down to the Giggijoch restaurant, the next step is an extension further up the mountain. This creates a fully connected, end-to-end blue-level route linking Gaislachkogl, Rotkogl, and Giggijoch.
- The Ollweite Line will get a new alignment from the reservoir area down to the rock field. The character of this section promises even more rock and roll in the future, with more rocks and more rock gardens.
- The Teäre Line is also being adjusted. Due to slope adaptations in the area around the Wasserkar valley station, the section around the wallride will be relocated – naturally without changing the character of this BRS classic.
“With the new jump line, Sölden now truly offers something for every rider – our trail network covers all segments and all difficulty levels. The extended Traien Trail and the targeted upgrades across the existing network will make Bike Republic Sölden even more attractive for the 2026 season. Our aim was to go beyond creating new highlights and deliver a smoother, more varied, and safer riding experience across the mountain”, says Dominik Linser, Managing Director BRS.
Pump track and Bike Hubs on the mountain
The bike experience in 2026 is also getting a noticeable upgrade away from the lines themselves. A new pump track is being built at the Gaislachkogl mid-station, creating the first-ever warm-up option directly on the mountain. Anyone wanting to get rolling and activate their flow before the first descent will now be able to do so exactly where the ride begins.
And riders who prefer to explore Bike Republic Sölden with “Bike & Hike” can also look forward to the new Bike Hubs. Using their own lock, they will be able to secure their bikes at three locations: Bike Hub Lenzen, Bike Hub Kleble Alm and Bike Hub Brunnerberg.
An early season highlight with a strong June setup
Bike Republic Sölden is also getting the event season underway early: the Summer Kickstart on 4 June marks the start of the season, followed by the next highlight, the BRS Festival, from 18 to 21 June. The new trails provide the perfect stage for it.
