BARI SARDO TO HOST THE RALLY DI SARDEGNA MTB GRAND FINALE

The Ogliastra's town will welcome the arrival of the stage-3, as well as the start and finish of the final stage.

The awards ceremony of the ninth edition (June 7th-11th) will take place at the scenic Torre di Barì.

A scenic location for the Rally di Sardegna MTB grand finale: Bari Sardo joins the venues of the ninth edition, to be held next June 7th to 11th in the heart of Sardinia. Bari Sardo will host the arrival of the stage-3, as well as the start and finish of the fourth and final leg. Moreover, the scenic Torre di Barì will be the background of the awards ceremony of the event organized by Wild Track ASD, under the aegis of the Italian Cycling Federation, and part of the Sardegna Outdoor project.

“Experiential and sports tourism represents an important asset all over the World and and Bari Sardo is ready to tackle this kind of challenge, to stand as an ideal destination for this kind of hospitality. We decided to pursue this goal by carrying on a series of works and infrastructures, but also by organizing important with the likes of the Rally di Sardegna MTB. We wish this event can become a regular appointment in Bari Sardo, the opener of the summer season with a few days in advance” Bari Sardo's Mayor Ivan Mameli explains.

On Friday, June 10th, Bari Sardo will host the finish of the third stage starting from Lanusei, featuring a 102.8-km lenght, a 2.276-meter elevation gain and a 39,07-km Special Stage. The day before, Saturday June 11th, Bari Sardo will be the starting and finishing location of the 9th Rally di Sardegna MTB fourth and final stage, 44.97 km with 958 meters of elevation gain and a 16,31 km Special Stage. The awards ceremony will take place in Torre di Barì: the Spanish tower will also be the location of the stage 3 and stage 4 headquarter, whilst a youth MTB promotional competition is set to be organized by the Polisportiva Bari Sardo in the adjacent pine forest.

“Athletes and staff are already booking in our facilities and we are on hand for every need. I wish to thank the associations that made themself available to collaborate for this great event, starting from the Polisportiva Bari Sardo, whose cycling group assures us brilliant internal professionals” Bari Sardo's Mayor Ivan Mameli adds.

As regards the registrations, the promotion for the fastest 50 subscribers (with the special rate of 250 euros) is always available. For the other ones, there is a reduced fee of 500 euros until April 30th. The ones who will subscribe later can register for the event until May 31st at the full fare of 600 euros.

Rally di Sardegna's program also features two non-competitive Rally Tours, reserved for muscular MTB and e-bikes. The participation fee is 500 euros.
