Another highlight-packed season in Saalfelden Leogang comes to an end - of course not without an appropriate celebration.
After the sportive season finale with the UCI Four-Cross World Championships and the last stop of the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup last weekend, Saalfelden Leogang now goes into an extra-time: during the fan weekend from October 4th to 6th guests and friends of the region get the chance to let off steam for the last time in 2013. As a peculiar special,there will once again be the legendary "Bike-Abtrieb" and for the first time the Wheel-On-Time-Contest and a 20'' pumptrack race.
The bike season 2013 is almost over and Bikepark Leogang gradually prepares for the wintertime. Leogang's "classics" such as the White Style competition or the Out of Bounds Festival are well-recognized pillars of Saalfelden Leogang's event season. This year, there was another mountain bike goody on top: the UCI Four-Cross World Championships as well as the final stage of the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup. The entire bike world watched on site or on the Internet, when Rachel Atherton and Steve Smith celebrated their World Cup overall title in the Salzburger Land.
But all things come to an end, especially the summer in the Alps. Therefore, visitors, bike-addicts and especially fans and friends of Bikepark Leogang will be released into the winter season with an ending weekend from October 4th to 6th.
The legendary Bike-Abtrieb, an annual fun tradition in Bikepark Leogang will be held again: following the example of the Austrian "Senner" (cow shepherd), to chase their cows back to the village after the summer season, the owners of the most spectacular decorated bikes will win great prizes. Registration for this competition will be with the jury on site. The winners of the combined ranking from the 20'' pumptrack race and the Wheel-Rolling-On-Time-Contest, a funny "roll a hoop"-contest, will also be awarded: You can look forward to prices such as a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition, diverse Scott-products as well as season-, day- or more-day-tickets for Bikepark Leogang.
The bikepark's bike school Elements Outdoorsports offers some special training sessions during the fan weekend. On Saturday, it's the beginner's day. From 9:30am to 11:30am kids are getting the chance to attend the basic technical training. In the afternoon from 1:00pm to 3:00pm adults (14 years and older) can get the mountain bike fever. All participants will have a 10% discount on the bike rental.
At the advanced riders training on Sunday, you can get tips and tricks for your riding skills. In the morning there will be the adults' course from 9:30am to 11:30am and in the afternoon from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for kids.

The region's official bike supplier, Scott, will be on site with its tour trailer and present the brand-new 2014 models bikes. Speaking of bikes: the Sport Mitterer shop (directly at the bottom station) will sell their 2013 Scott rental bikes at extremely reduced prizes - consideration is worthwhile! Moreover, there is a 50% discount on a lot of bike products at Sport Mitterer.
