SloEnduro is coming to Austria

First stop of the Slovenian Enduro series will be hosted at the legendary downhill trails of the Schoeckl near Graz.

Graz, May 12th, 2016 – Some may remember the European Downhill Championships in 2003. The likes of Fabien Barel and Anne-Caroline Chausson were fighting for continental honors. It was the last time bikers were racing the downhill tracks officially. On June 5th, SloEnduro premiers in Austria and relives the gravity racing action after 13 years on this challenging mountain.

Officially, "Enduro Gradec" is part of the 4Fun category of the SloEnduro series. Everyone who has been to the "Schöckl Trail Area" knows: proper, rough mountain bike trails are waiting. The organizers – the local bike club Radlager, local shop Lemur Bikes&Bones and the Austrian mountain bike magazine LINES – together with track chief Michael Gölles have chosen a demanding route. Four stages, just 15 kilometers, but a drop of 1.000 vertical meters. As a proper end to perfect enduro race day, the "Gigasport Special Stage" is awaiting riders: located directly at the gondola station, ideal for spectators and loads of fun bike park elements to finish up the race.

Enduro Gradec will definitely be a hot spot. First, because it's one of just four enduro events this year in Austria. Second, quite a few big names have already marked the race in their calendars. Enduro junior European Champion and Cube Action Team rider Daniel Schemmel even called it one of his season highlights. If you want to take part yourself, you better be quick.
