The Superenduro Powered By SRAM prepares to climb to altitude, with the fourth stage of the PRO 2013. It’s back to Madesimo (SO), a town in Lombardia which debuted in the circuit last year.

This year Madesimo will play host to the Italian Enduro Championship. In 2012 the title and the coveted tricolour national champions’ jersey was won by David Sottocornola on his home trails at Pogno. He will be looking to hold onto that jersey for second year, but Manuel Ducci is coming in from his first PRO win last time out at Gemona, Vittorio Gambirasio took Manuel right to the wire for that win and Alex Lupato looks like he could dominate this year if he could put his bad luck behind him.

In the women’s racing it’s no easier to call a winner. Federica Zanotto won the last race at Gemona, Valentina Macheda leads the series and Chiara Pastore and Marianna Uttini all look strong and keen to wear the tricolour jersey.

Madesimo sits right on the Swiss border and is easily reachable from Germany. Because of this it drew in a large crowd of international riders last year and the incredible trails in the bike park proved to be riders’ favourites last year.

This is the first real alpine Superenduro race of 2013 and promises to be a great show. The chairlift will be open Thursday 20 and Friday 21 to allow riders to practice the two special stages they will compete over, each stage being repeated twice. The Promosport category will only do a single lap of the resort. Racing starts on Saturday evening with an all-new prologue course that starts on the mountain and finishes in the centre of the town.
