Tanja Zakelj takes two for the second overall.

Good news for Northwave from Andalucia Bike Race, in Spain, one of the most prestigious and spectacular stage races in Mountain Bike (February 22nd – 27th).

Slovenian Tanja Zakelj (Polar Trek) clinched two stage wins and claimed the overall second place together with teammate Claudia Galicia, behind Wheeler Pro Team's pair, Ester Suss – Milena Landtwing.

Equipped with Extreme Tech MTB Plus, the XC European Champion and her teammate claimed two strong successes in stage 4, Wednesday February 25th, and in stage 5, Thursday February 26th, showing a great consistency for the entire week.

Yesterday, Thursday February 26th, another Northwave's biker, Swiss Florian Vogel (Focus MTB Team), took the top-spot on the podium in Cyprus Sunshine Cup's opening stage preceding French Stephane Tempier (BH Suntour) and Brit Grant Ferguson (Betch Superior Brentjens), whilst Brazilian Henrique Avancini (Cannondale Factory) placed fourth.

In addition, in the women's race won by Jolanda Neff (Stockli Pro Team), Gunn-Rita Dahle (Norwegian National Team) and Swiss Kathrin Stirnemann (Haibike Oetzal) scored fourth and sixth respectively.
