With great pleasure and a bit of emotion Superenduro announces the 2016 racing calendar. The choice between the different candidates has not been easy and the staff had to take their time to personally visit the locations that stepped forward and to carefully select the four destinations where to take the riders for the approaching racing year!
Four dates to write down on next season's agenda, in four different Italian regions: Tuscany, Liguria, Trentino Alto Adige and Lombardy.

The Series kick-off is going to happen very early in the season: on the 20th March MASSA MARITTIMA will start the 2016 ball rolling. While much of Italy will still be struggling with winter and cold, our Superenduro-ers will be blessed with the first spring warmth in the woods of holm oaks and cork trees on the rolling hills of Tuscany, guests of the wonderful Resort Massa Vecchia and of The Trail Brothers guys.
The riders will compete on some of the most twisty and flowing trails around: definitely the right way to start the season, to help loosen the joints up, pedalling along the fantastic Transfers across the Maremma countryside... and to skyrocket their riding mojo.
For this round the trick is to let the bike go, keeping the right pace during the Special Stages and never losing the momentum! #carrythespeed

For the second round, the Series heads towards Liguria and the coast, where the trails swoop down into the Mediterranean sea and become more technical and tough. The 8th May will be VARAZZE time.
Vaze Free Time, with the project Varazze Outdoor, have prepared a varied selection of racetracks, with surface and conditions that change a lot with the elevation. From the beech and chestnut woods the race will take the riders to the rocky and loose lines within the Mediterranean scrub: a sure rush of adrenaline.
At this round, line choice and riding skills will be key. #fullgas

With the arrival of the summer Superenduro will move into the mountains, to the Dolomites peaks of Trentino Alto Adige, together with the Fassa Bike guys. A breathtaking panorama will be the perfect backdrop for the round of CANAZEI on the 26th June.
There, even the most competitive racers, at least for a few moments, will turn into the perfect tourists who marvel and can't help but admire what mother nature has given us and, most of all, where the mountain-bike can take them for a race.
Race-tape along pristine trails, single-tracks across high-elevation meadows, larches and roots' undergrowth : welcome to the mountains! #enjoyenduro

From the Dolomites passes the Series will gain ever more altitude the 31st July, reaching the summits of the Ortles Cevedale National Park at about 9800 feet (3000 metres) of elevation. The elevation differences around SANTA CATERINA VALFURVA will close the Series and will crown the 2016 Superenduro champions.
As for the previous round, also at Santa Caterina Valfurva in Alta Valtellina, the chairlift will be used in combination with more traditional pedalling Transfers. The goal is to take the race at the top, the very top, where the glaciers retreated over the past few decades and where now the streams spring in between rock boulders as big as houses.
Altitude, elevation differences and endurance are what in these conditions is going to be critical. But you are at the end of the season, so you should be fit enough, right ? #stayfocused

The new web-page will soon be online with the complete info about rules, format changes, registration, and much more.
Superenduro is awaiting all of you at the 2016 edition of the Series. A circuit that we love to think is going to be as a journey through the emotions, the environments and the main ingredients that make the enduro discipline so special.
