The world’s top riders go head-to-head in 'the Kessel' as the series crowns its champion at the season finale.

Red Bull Cerro Abajo will make its German debut in Stuttgart on 6th of September 2026, with the city hosting the season‑finale round of the 2025/26 World Series. The event will bring the world’s top urban downhill riders to a steep, technical street course in the heart of Stuttgart, with the overall title on the line after earlier stops in Genova and Valparaíso. Here is all you need to know:

Known as the world’s biggest urban downhill MTB series, Red Bull Cerro Abajo brings together the core of the sport's elite on tight, technical city tracks that demand top speed, precise line choice and full‑commitment riding. In Stuttgart, the action will unfold on a specially designed route running from the Teehaus to Wilhelmsplatz.

The Stuttgart round will serve as the decisive season finale, with the overall world title on the line after earlier stops in Genova, Italy and Valparaíso, Chile. As the fourth and final event of the 25-26 series, it will bring the championship battle to a close on a course that is expected to reward not only pace, but also line choice, bike control and race-day nerve.

Bringing Red Bull Cerro Abajo to Stuttgart adds steep, compact streets and a steep‑to‑flat urban layout into the mix, giving the discipline’s elite a tight, technical, and spectator‑friendly city course right in the heart of Germany. The speeds are expected to reach up to around 60 km/h, adding another layer of intensity to an already demanding track.

German downhill champion Johannes Fischbach will carry the home hopes, lining up against a strong international field that includes Tomáš Slavík, one of the most successful names in the discipline. For Fischbach, the event marks a first home race in the series and a major opportunity to perform in front of a local crowd.

With its steep urban topography and tightly packed streets, Stuttgart offers a natural fit for Red Bull Cerro Abajo, creating a race atmosphere that puts both riders and fans close to the action. Spectators will be able to line the course and watch the racing unfold right beside the obstacles, making the event as immersive as it is technical.

Before the world series reaches Germany, the next stop will be Italy, where Genova is set to host the series on 28th of June 2026. That round will keep the championship fight alive as the world’s best urban downhill riders continue their battle until the season finale in Stuttgart.
