Northwave and Sunweb-Napoleon Games' athlete leads the Under 23 overall standings with 83 points

Northwave's Belgian youngster Michael Vanthourenhout (Sunweb-Napoleon Games) grabbed the fifth seasonal success in U23 Superprestige's round 6, in Diegem (Belgium), on Sunday December 28th.

 



The Belgian rider, equipped with Extreme Tech MTB Plus shoes, preceded on a snowy route Dutchman Stan Godrie (Rabobank Development) and French Clement Venturini (Cofidis), celebrating his first seasonal success in the Superprestige after a streak of five second-place finishes. Vanthourenhout leads the GC with 83 points ahead of Telenet-Fidea's Toon Aerts (67 points) and Corendon-Kwadro's Laurens Sweeck (66 points).

Yesteday, Saturday December 27th, two more athletes sponsored by Italian brand, Sunweb's Gianni Vermeersch and teammate Tim Merlier, placed second and third respectively at Versluys Cyclocross, in Bredene (Belgium), behind winner Wout Van Aert (Vastgoodservice).
