Like the Maple Leafs, Canyon enduro team are on a 1 game winning streak.

It was an epic start of the season for the EWS, being part of Crankworx Rotorua in New zealand. The riders have found a really rough rooty terrain over a 70km loop finishing in Crankworx DH area. A really intense day over 7 stages that all riders would have to cover.

Fab arrived with a very positive feeling. "it is a very different terrain than what I found in my last race in Chile. from to dry dustry and rocky terrain to mud and roots... that is ENDURO" Fab laughing.

Fab quickly realize that the day was going to be long and that there was plenty of rooms for mistakes. "I started the race on solid pace but conservative enough to stay on the bike. I knew that stage 1 to 5 was going to hard to hold on".

6th and 7th were his favorites, with high speed downhilly sections. Fab attacked to get the 2nd place at the end of the day behing Jey Clementz.

"it is a great satisfaction for me to be on the podium as I did not feel fast at the beginning of the day. Starting the season with a great results is always a fantastic motivation for the races to come"

Next rounds will be in 6 weeks, in Ireland. Until then training and testing will be needed to keep the pace.
