The 2016 Olympic champion will make her seasonal debut in Internazionali d’Italia Series’ stage 3, on Monday, April 18th, bringing here message in support of children’s right of leisure and fun.

Top-end international Mountain Bike has found its place in Capoliveri. The history of this location speaks for itself: in 2021, the 12th Capoliveri Legend Cup assigned the titles of 2021 UCI Marathon World Champion, and the Cross Country event, Capoliveri Legend XCO, has received high praise on the international scale, despite its young roots.

The 2nd edition of Capoliveri Legend XCO, to be held from Saturday, April 16th to Monday, April 18th, promises to consolidate the cycling tradition of an island with a strong calling for the bike’s world. Easter Monday will see at the start of Internazionali d’Italia Series’ stage 3 some of the top names of the international Cross Country.

The 2016 Olympic Champion Jenny Rissveds will make her seasonal debut at Capoliveri Legend XCO, joining the field of the Italian UCI hors catégorie event. With her Team 31-Ibis, the Swede has created her own project, in which the wellbeing of the athlete comes before the sportive results. The team’s name recalls Article 31 of the UN Convention, dedicated to the right of leisure and fun for children.

After retiring from competitions for a period, due to her depressive and eating disorders, Jenny Rissveds is now back at the top of the sport, interpreting the discipline with the utmost professionalism while bringing awareness to the theme of mental wellbeing for sportspeople.

In Capoliveri, the athlete from Falun will share the front line with the top Italian riders hoping to secure a prestigious result at Internazionali d’Italia Series, starting from Martina Berta (Team Santa Cruz) and Eva Lechner (Team Trinx) to youngsters Sara Cortinovis (Team Santa Cruz) and Internazionali d’Italia’s leader Giada Specia (Wilier-Pirelli).

Cortinovis and Specia stepped on the podium of the Women’s U23 race in the first stage of UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Petropolis.

The riders will face a 4,5-Km circuit characterized by 170 meters of elevation gain for each lap. The ASD Capoliveri Bike Park has set up the course in collaboration with Enrico Martello (Technical Director of the Italian team). The lap’s final section will challenge the pure riding skills of the athletes, with a long descent characterized by very technical passages.
