Gunn-Rita Dahle winner at Bundesliga Opener.

Northwave enjoyed an outstanding success at Bundesliga Opener in Saalhausen (Germany) with evergreen Gunn-Rita Dahle bringing her Extreme Tech MTB Plus at the top spot of the podium in the women's race. Multivan Merida's biker preceded on the finish line another Northwave's athlete, German Sabine Spitz (Team Haibike), whilst Alexandra Engen (Team Ghost) claimed fifth.

In the men's race, won by Belgian Ruben Scheire ahead Simon Stiebjahn, the main favourite Manuel Fumic (Cannondale Factory) was slowed by mechanical problems. Nevertheless, the German rider took the third place on the finish line.

In Scotland's Selkirk, at the British Marathon Championships, Sally Bigham clinched victory for the fifth time in her career. Last week, the Topeak-Ergon's biker had achieved the Rocky Mountain Marathon at Bike Festival in Riva del Garda (Trentino, Northern Italy).
