Gunn-Rita Dahle is way, way tougher than you.

Mountain Bike legend Gunn-Rita Dahle (Multivan Merida) conquered the first seasonal success at Cyprus Sunshine Cup. The 43-year-old Norwegian gave Northwave a prestigious success in the 4-day MTB stage race in Cyprus (February 25th-28th).

The 4-time Cross Country World Champion dominated the last stage, preceding in the overall standings Adelheid Morath (BH SR-Suntour) and Githa Michiels (Versluys Pro Mountain-Bike).

Northwave's athletes were also in the spotlight in the first part of the Cypriot race thanks to Swiss Florian Vogel (Focus XC Team), winner of the opening prologue, as Fabian Giger (Kross Racing Team) conquered the final success ahead of Maxime Marotte (BH SR-Sontour) and Marco Aurelio Fontana (Cannondale-Factory), winner of the final stage winner with the new Northwave Extreme XC. Fellow Northwave rider, German veteran Sabine Spitz (Sabine Spitz Racing) clinched victory in the stage-3 of the women's race, placing fourth in the GC.

In addition, Northwave claimed a strong win at Andalucia Bike Race, in Spain. British Northwave athlete Sally Bigham (Topeak Ergon) and teammate Katrin Leumann dominated the stage-race inflicting a big gap to the opponents. Rounding out the podium were Santanyes/Noriega (MMR Women) and Martin/Diaz (Primaflor Orbea).
