Great day for Northwave's athletes at Isola d'Elba (Italy). Second place for Sunweb's rider at Zonhoven (Belgium)

Northwave's athletes dominated once again in Giro d'Italia Ciclocross' stage 2, on the Isola d'Elba (Livorno), on Sunday November 2nd, repeating the great performances of the opening round in Fiuggi (Frosinone). Gioele Bertolini, equipped with Extreme Tech MTB Plus shoes, proved to be among the leaders of the whole Italian movement, delivering a strong performance in the Men's Open race.

Despite a crash with two laps to go, Selle Italia-Guerciotti's youngster preceded on the finishing line no less than four more athletes sponsored by the Italian brand: Marco Ponta (Esercito) and Nadir Colledani (Trentino Rosa), who rounded out the podium, Lorenzo Samparisi (Cx Selle Smp Dama Merida Drc) and Stefano Capponi (Drake Team Northwave Sport).

In the morning, Northwave's athletes were in the spotlights in the youngsters' races: among Cadets, Lorenzo Calloni (Cadrezzate-Guerciotti) and Sara Casasola (Trentino Rosa) extended Northwave's domination in the men's and women's race respectively, whilst Selle Italia-Guerciotti's Stefano Sala claimed a strong success in the Junior race conquering the Maglia Rosa.

SUPERPRESTIGE, VANTHOURENHOUT IN THE SPOTLIGHT IN ZONHOVEN

Sunweb-Napoleon Games' Michael Vanthourenhout grazed success in Superprestige's round 2 Under23 series, in Zonhoven (Belgium) wearing Northwave Extreme Tech MTB Plus shoes. The Belgian prospect claimed a strong second place behind another Belgian youngster, Wout Van Aert.

Another Sunweb's and Northwave's athlete, Klaas Vantornout, entered the top-10 in the Elite category: after an unlucky crash, the Belgian rider claimed a 8th place in the race won by teammate Kevin Pauwels.
