Stage 6 is the penultimate day of the Absa Cape Epic 2024. With 87km and 2300m of climbing it was a hard stage with a lot of up and downs.

The dust has settled as it rained overnight on the Simonsberg. A lot of singletracks awaited the riders after a transfer to Stellenbosch.

In the men’s race Toyota-Specialized-NinetyOne - Matthew Beers (RSA) and Howard Grotts (USA) took their second stage win with a time of 3h 46min 48sec and extend their lead in the overall to 9min 22sec. The all Italian duo of Wilier Vittoria Factory – Fabian Rabensteiner (ITA) and Samuele Porro (ITA) finished with their best result of the week and take second place with only 41sec behind. Buff Megamo – Hans Becking (NED) and Wout Alleman (BEL) take their fourth podium and finish in third 1min 50sec behind.

In the women’s category GHOST Factory Racing – Anne Terpstra (NED) and Nicole Koller (SUI) showed once more flawless riding as they take their seventh consecutive win with 04h 30min 39sec. Cannondale Factory Racing – Mona Mitterwallner (AUT) and Candice Lill (RSA) finish second and Toyota-Specialized-NinetyOne - Sofia Gomez Villafane (ARG) and Samara SHEPPARD (NZL) in third.
