Following on from his 6th place last weekend in Vall d'Allos, Trek World Racing's Justin Leov took 10th place yesterday in the 3rd round of the inaugural series, hosted at Les Deux Alpes in France.

Despite some frustrations with some rider errors, and some other riders interpreting the course in unique ways, Justin remained positive about the speed he had on the weekend.

"That was a big day in the heat! I have mixed feelings about this race; the first stage I felt pretty strong but I caught the guy in front of me and he wouldn't let me past. I yelled and yelled but he wouldn't move and in the end I had to make a dodgy pass but somehow didn't crash. I could hear Sam Blenkinsop catching me because of that hold up and it was disappointing to lose that time because of something out of my control.

In the second stage I had a solid ride just struggling in the tighter corners to get my speed going. In the 3rd stage I came unclipped at the start and that was annoying but I rode well in the middle of the stage but once again struggled on the tight corners to keep a good feeling. The last stage felt the best for me. I set out well but got a little too aggressive and rode off the single track, battling to keep inside the tape. I lost a fair amount of time getting back on track. I crossed the line feeling like I had better speed but couldn't show it this weekend. Overall though I'm happy with my two top 10's."

There was a lot of controversy on the 2nd stage as a lot of riders missed a section of the course due to the tape being down, and others were honest and rode the intended course. In the last stage there was a corner which people were clearly cutting that Justin chose not to. These issues are a big concern for teams and riders that invest in attending events to find the courses are not well marked or riders fear no sanction should they cut the course. The team is hopeful that this situation will improve.

Justin's next event will be the famous Megavalanche this week in Alpe d'Huez.
