After the incredible welcome Chile and Scotland gave to the enduro mountain bike racing community in the first two rounds of the Enduro World Series, it's hard to say that enduro has any particular physical headquarters. But if there's a spiritual home to the sport, it would be France, and if there's a spiritual godfather, it would be Fred Glo.

Glo's Tribe Events hosts the Enduro Series Valloire driven by Urge Bike Products this weekend, June 21-22. The location, at the base of famous Galibier Pass in the Savoie region of the northern Alps, is a resort and mountain bike hub, with approximately 150 km of marked trails.

Italian mountain biker Riccardo Chiarini, who finished fourth overall in the 2014 Absa Cape Epic with partner Roel Paulissen of Belgium (Team Torpado Factory), has tested positive for unusually high levels of EPO.

The former road professional was tested out-of-competition on May 7 this year by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The finding of excessive EPO (erythropoietin) was made in terms of the biological passport system. Torpado, the Italian bicycle manufacturer and team sponsor, confirmed it had been informed of the positive test results and had suspended the rider with immediate effect pending any appeal.

"I've been watching Connor ride and progress since he was about 8 years old. These days it's obvious to see that he's impressive on a bike, but the stuff that has always impressed me the most is his positive attitude, love for bikes, and dedication to becoming a better rider. The SGC scholarship is more about these things than anything else and any rider who brings these qualities to SGC will have a blast and see a huge boost in their riding. I can't wait for summer".

It''s scary how fast the 2013 season came and went. Then again, with all the action, nail biting contests and heart stopping moments, it''s no surprise that the year flew past. Surrounded by the heated battle for the FMB World Tour title, both CANYON riders, Thomas Genon and Anton Thelander had their best season to date. One year ago, they had their first ride on the new CANYON ''Stitched'' dirt bike and from there they toured the globe, competing at the biggest competitions on the FMB World Tour calendar. These included: Red Bull Berg Line and X Games Munich in Germany, Crankworx Les Deux Alpes in France, Red Bull Joyride at Crankworx in the Canadian Whistler as well as Red Bull Rampage in the desert of Utah. 2013 was packed with highlights but the new season recap clip summarizes their season and re-lives their best, podium winning runs.
