Butter up your shammy, ABSA Cape Epic releases '15 course.

The Absa Cape Epic will return to the slopes of Table Mountain in 2015 when the rugged eight-day race's Prologue is staged from the University of Cape Town. The much-anticipated route announcement took place in Cape Town on Wednesday (October 22) and the Mother City will kick off the 2015 edition on Sunday, March 15. From there the course takes riders to the Elgin Valley, Worcester and Wellington before the new Grand Finale finish venue at Meerendal Wine Estate on March 22.

There have been so many things going through my head over the last six weeks since the Whistler EWS. All the "what ifs!" My worst result of the season to this point was 9th. On paper, just needing 23rd or better in Finale Ligure sounds easy enough, but you just never know about a flat or a snapped chain...all the thoughts of something going wrong creep into your head. Deep down you're thinking it will be fine, but you just never know.

The Enduro World Series 2014 has created many stories in the last seven rounds – but none quite as compelling as Finale Ligure this weekend. Not only did we crown new World Champions but we saw one of the most impressive comebacks cycling has ever seen. Finale 2014 will go down in the history books for all the right reasons.

A weekend of cyclo-cross racing in Whistler Creekside has wrapped up, with the completion of the first annual Cyclo-Cross Whistler. Over 100 racers each day participated in the inaugural event that brought the dirt, rocks, mud and cobblestones of Whistler Creekside to life.

About 8,000 people found their way to the Uppsala Castle on Saturday afternoon last weekend to see some of the biggest names in freestyle MTB compete at the Martin Söderström Invitational. Under the glorious Swedish sunshine, one by one, the riders dropped in to raise the bar. The spectators were amazed and the riders pumped. On the 20 and 21 of September Balneario Camboriu will be again the center of South American Downhill competition. After a great start on February on Bariloche Argentina the second round of the Open Shimano Latam will be racing on the same course that had the UCI World Cup 2005, 2006, Pan-American Championships 2006, and Master World Champions 2010-2012.

In a dramatic day of racing in the small ski town of Hafjell, 2 hours north of Oslo, Trek World Racing's Neko Mulally (USA) had an incredible race after snapping his chain out of the start house, to finish 4th at the Elite Men's World Championships. Team mate Brook MacDonald finish 5th in his best ever elite World Champs result while Laurie Greenland took the silver medal in Junior Men at his World Championship debut.

The Red Bull District Ride course builders have worked tirelessly at full throttle to finish this unique track on time. In just a few days they have changed Nuremberg's old city into an amazing urban freeride course. "We've been working on the course for three weeks and have now one week to build it up in the city", says Niko Bössl. On 6 September their efforts will be appreciated by the world's best mountain bike slopestylers.

Nuremberg is getting ready! The course set up preparations for Red Bull District Ride on 6 September 2014 are now complete. The rider line-up is also confirmed. The start list includes the world's best freeriders and slopestylers – from rising young talents like Louis Reboul (FRA) to bike legends such as the triple Red Bull Joyride winner Brandon Semenuk (CAN).

In his first World Cup season, 17 year old Laurie Greenland from Bristol in the UK, backed up his 2nd place in qualifying with his first ever World Cup podium by taking a solid 2nd on race day. Greg Williamson of Scotland took another top 10 result for the season by taking 12 seconds off his qualifying run, to finish up 9th for the day.

An afternoon of whips, trains and stoke has wrapped on Crabapple Hits, and a new King has been crowned at the Official Whip-Off World Championship at Crankworx Whistler. 14-year-old Finn Iles finished the day with a cheque for $2000 and the respect of riders, industry and fans.
