The transition from winter to summer in British Columbia’s temperamental coastal weather gave the Whistler Spring Classic its own punchline this weekend as 12 centimetres of fresh powder arrived for Saturday training: “Spring? Classic.”

First stop of the Slovenian Enduro series will be hosted at the legendary downhill trails of the Schoeckl near Graz.

The season is well under way and with the next event, Swatch Rocket Air coming up soon on April 29th and April 30th, riders will be bringing their tricks for a rumble in the jungle, hoping to claim the first wildcard of the season.

On the 7th and 8th May Superenduro powered by SRAM goes to Liguria, or – better – to Varazze, where the second round of the 2016 season will kick off.

Mountain bike slopestyle on snow celebrates a decade of action in January 2016 in Saalfelden Leogang. White Style is an FMB Silver Event and attracts some of the world's best athletes. To celebrate the anniversary on January 29th, Saalfelden Leogang is giving fans the chance to try their own skills on snow during the Scott Snow Downhill Race as part of the LINES schneefräsn Cup. Fans will also have the once in a lifetime opportunity to design their own White Style obstacle which will be integrated into the huge course made of snow. Judged by an expert panel, the winner of the design your obstacle contest will receive a VIP package such as a meet&greet, overnight stay and awesome prizes valued at over 1,500 Euro including a GoPro HERO 4 Session.


The Urge 3 Peaks Enduro endurance downhill mountain biking race has attracted some of New Zealand's top rising stars for this weekend's racing in Dunedin, New Zealand. (November 28 and 29, 2015).

Among those planning to line up at the race start on the summit of Flagstaff, overlooking the city, on Saturday morning is 2015 Enduro World Series (EWS) racer Rae Morrison, of Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast (below). Ranked 9th in the 2015 EWS and first on the NZ MTB Crown for Enduro, Morrison said she was looking forward to racing with her friends.


The FMB World Tour is now in its sixth season. Riders have already put points on the board at Bronze, Silver and Diamond events. Brett Rheeder most recently took the win at Round 1 of the FMB Diamond Series at Crankworx Rotorua. And Nicholi Rogatkin, together with Martin Soderstrom have put Specialized on top of the FMB Factory Team ranking. Now, back from New Zealand the athletes will be competing in more events as the tour builds up for round 2 of the Diamond Series: Swatch Prime Line Munich on June 27th.

The Austrian mountain bike mekka Saalfelden Leogang is all set to host the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup presented by Shimano from June 13th to 14th. During the Out of Bounds Festival (June 11th to 14th), the world's best downhill racers will fight for points on the legendary "Speedster" track, in their pursuit of the world cup title. For further entertainment there will be lots of side events and the tenth edition of 26TRIX, a prime Gold level FMB World Tour event.


On the evening of Friday 1 May 2015 Durty Events, organisers of the Selkirk Mountain Bike Marathon and British Mountain Bike Marathon Championships (2 May 2015), are taking over the centre of Selkirk, turning it over to a free festival of two-wheeled mayhem for all the family.

From 19:00 to 21:00 The Selkirk Bike Festival, supported by Scottish Borders Council, Selkirk Community Council and Selkirk Chamber of Trade, will be staged on the traffic free High Street with an action packed programme of biking activities, events and attractions for all ages. The top class entertainment includes a new Pump Track, a huge airbag on which to try out those big air tricks copied straight from YouTube, head-to-head lung busting roller racing (Rollapolluza style), jaw dropping displays from The 3-Sixty Bike Stunt Team, and a showing of stunning bike films (including the making of Danny Macaskill / Cut Media's epic 'The Ridge' filmed on the Isle of Skye). Hardies Bikes of Melrose will also be on hand for everyone's biking related retail and repair needs.

The registrations opening for the 11th season of the Enduro Series, the 5th to be labelled as FFC France Cup, will occur on the 10th of January at 6pm on the Tribe Events website (tribe-events.com).

The debut of the Biketember Festival was a complete success with over 600 bikers attending this epic 2014 seasons end-off. Three great events were combined to create an exciting season finale for visitors and passionate mountain bikers in Saalfelden Leogang. Cheering spectators lined the tape down the "speedster" track for the final of the iXS European Downhill Cup and younger enthusiasts rocked the Scott Junior Trophy. The hometown crowd had many reasons to be proud as Austrians David Trummer (AUT – RRP Ghost) took the overall win in the SRAM Specialized Enduro Series with Manuel Gruber (AUT – Radon) in second.


The Deep Summer Photographer Challenge will return to Crankworx Whistler on August 13, 2014 and has invited five pro photographers from around the world, each of whom brings a unique and impressive mountain biking portfolio to the slideshow contest. This year's lineup of photographers showcases talents from Italy, Germany, Australia, the United States and an up-and-coming photographer from Whistler, B.C. The Pinkbike Deep Summer Wildcard Search also begins on June 11, inviting another photographer to the event with the help of online voters.


Last weekend the Drop and Roll Team celebrated their first event in Baden, Switzerland. Behind the wheel of their brand new Drop and Roll Tour truck, the riders left their Glasgow based HQ and ventured across Europe for the debut show. Over 2000 spectators showed up to watch them perform their awesome tricks on a self-designed rig. Now, the team is heading back to bonnie Scotland in preparation for the upcoming show in Glasgow on July 29th.

BIKE Festival Riva will be packed with eager bike fans from May 1st-4th. For Livigno – Feel the Alps, this is the perfect occasion to spread the word and get visitors amped about the action packed summer ahead. Two exceptional events are confirmed in the Italian 'Little Tibet': the renowned Suzuki Nine Knights and the brand new Red Bull Wide Open race! As spring approaches, preparations for the Red Bull Wide Open are heating up. This summer, the search for the ultimate mountain bike athlete will take place at Bike Park Mottolino in Livigno (ITA). On July 13th downhill, 4X and freeride icons will go head-to-head down a huge supercross inspired track packed with technical features and high-speed obstacles. The rider line-up is one of a kind – for the first time ever so many heavy hitters will be united side-by-side in a single 6-man format race.
